Joseph J. Peters Institute

The Joseph J. Peters Institute (JJPI), a PHMC affiliate, is a mental health agency providing outpatient assessment and treatment services in the area of sexual abuse, specifically   for trauma survivors and individuals with sexual behavior problems. JJPI is nationally recognized for contributions in evaluation, treatment, prevention and research and education through both Survivor and Safety and Responsibility Services. JJPI envisions our communities free from sexual violence and other forms of trauma.

JJPI recognizes that trauma survivors and individuals with sexual or interpersonal behavior problems are diverse populations with varied treatment needs. Therefore, the organization maintains separate locations with customized services for these different populations.   JJPI professionals understand that creating an environment where individuals feel emotionally safe, trusted and respected is essential to promoting recovery and resiliency.
